Creating Your First Project

Projects are the foundation of TaskLemon. They help you organize related tasks, collaborate with team members, and track progress toward your goals.

Step 1: Navigate to Projects

From your dashboard, click on the Projects tab in the main navigation. This will show you all projects you have access to.

Step 2: Create a New Project

Click the Create Project button in the top-right corner. You'll see a form where you can enter:

  • Project Title - Choose a clear, descriptive title
  • Reference Code - A short code for task IDs (e.g., "TL" for TaskLemon)
  • Description - Add details about the project goals and scope
  • Start Date & Due Date - Set your project timeline
  • Status - Select from Planning, Active, On Hold, or Completed
  • Priority - Set the importance level (Low, Medium, High, Critical)
  • Budget - Optional budget tracking

Step 3: Add Team Members

Click Add Members to invite colleagues to your project. You can assign different roles:

  • Owner - Full control over the project
  • Manager - Can edit project settings and manage tasks
  • Member - Can create and complete tasks
  • Viewer - Read-only access

Step 4: Customize Project Settings

Visit the project settings to configure:

  • Project details and timeline
  • Team member roles and permissions
  • Project visibility (Private or Team-wide)
  • Task statuses and priorities

That's it! You're ready to start adding tasks and getting work done.
